I created an illustration for the Document Series to accompany the second film in the series, My Garden of 1000 Bees. This documentary follows a wildlife filmmaker who, while taking refuge from the pandemic, embarks on a journey to document the astonishing diversity of wild bees inhabiting his small garden. Through careful observation, he forms a deep connection with a single bee, tracking its entire life cycle. My illustration was designed to visually capture the film’s themes of resilience, discovery, and the intricate beauty of nature, highlighting the filmmaker’s intimate bond with these often-overlooked creatures.
